If any of you guys have about fifteen minutes to kill driving to practice or an event, or you're stuck waiting for everyone else listen to this First Blood EP. I would tell you to listen to their full-length version, but if you did that and then tried to fight someone would get severely hurt. Even if you were fighting in SCA armor with tap fighting swords.
"Suffocate" starts off with a quote from the movie First Blood and takes off. Carl's vocals are vehement, on-point and truthful. It's very obvious that no one in this band is messing around. Their music is heavy, fast, loud and virulent to prove their point. The breakdowns in this EP are some of the heaviest I've ever heard. In "Victim" for instance, there are a few measures of gang vocals followed by a sound clip of John Rambo unloading his machine gun. After the clip the guitars start chugging and I can't imagine one person I know not becoming savage after the massive breakdown that's being played. Try it. There's so much energy that you just want to move.
