On Saturday, October 28, 2006, Eryndor’s first official unit, Senegal’s Finest, held their debut event, VooDoo. Despite the cold weather, the rain, and fierce wind, over 72 Dagorhirrim came out to Nike Park in Carleton, Michigan to take part in this momentous event. Adeus of the Senegal’s had this to say about their first event: “Warm friends, hot food, and sexy battles!” “It was cold, rainy, and fun as hell!” said Maes, an attendee.
Some of the battles scenarios included: Unit Battles, Epic Shield - Team Battles, Pick up battles, and an amazing Legendary Scenario Battle. A break was taken for an extended period of time in the mid afternoon so others could socialize and hot food could be served, provided by the Senegal’s.
“The Senegal’s Finest first event was by far one of the best events ever! Senegal’s represent the unit battles!” declared Omega. As two proud men, Daeris and Mithris took a step back to enjoy fruits of their labor, and proudly watched their first ever unit succeed. They had this to say about their event:
“To Eryndor, the Senegal’s Finest continues to make us proud. Neither the rain, the cold, or the lack of sun could prevent Eryndor’s first official unit from running their first bad ass event. VooDoo was great!” -Daeris/Guybrush (Guybrush was the pirate persona Daeris took on especially for VooDoo.)
“The Senegals, yet again, [have] proved their imaginative skills and intensity. The battles were hard, spirits were high, even with blinding, freezing rain.” -Mithris
In the end it was cold and wet, but friends were together, great times were had, memories were made, and amazing fighting took place. What more could be asked for in any successful event?
